How Does Goji Juice Work?
Although goji juice creates many positive influences in the body (such as the increased production of antioxidants, boosting of energy, and strengthening the immune system,) nearly all of its benefits tie back to a single source – its many unique polysaccharides.
Known scientifically as the lyceum barbarum polysaccharides, or LBP, these are natural molecules that work diligently to improve the communication between cells in the body. This broad ability to positively affect nearly every type of cell in the body enables goji juice to have an impact on nearly every part of the body. Being the basic building blocks of every organ and muscle in the body, the condition of cells directly reflects the condition of the body. Cells must communicate with one another to perform their functions and to remain healthy, and a breakdown in communication can cause poor health, premature aging, and many types of disease. The LBPs found in the goji berry improve this communication all throughout the body. These polysaccharides are also completely unique to the goji berry – they are not found in any other food or substance on Earth. Because of this ability to improve cellular communication and help cells function at their normal, intended levels, goji has come to be known as a “normalizer” – a substance which works to bring the body back to a state of normalcy. Lyceum barbarum polysaccharides have risen to the top of scientific interest in the realm of natural health. Several studies and papers have been written and conducted on these molecules, proposing reasons for their many health benefits and recognizing their ability to help promote good health in the human body.
